LONDON WEEKEND BREAKS - City Monuments

One of the big reasons for many to visit London is to see some of the city's iconic monuments ranging from Nelson's column in Trafalgar Square, to the Houses of Parliament's Big Ben bell and clock tower.

Most successful London weekend breaks include a mix of activities and sightseeing trips and many of London's monuments can be appreciated simply by looking at them. You will also find that a number of major attractions like the Natural History Museum are actually housed in buildings which themselves are spectacular stand-alone monuments.

If you use the London Weekend Breaks' "50 London sightseeing attractions" link in the left hand menu, you will go to our main sightseeing index page from which you will be able to find summaries and photographs of most of London's major monuments. Below, however, is a quick list of the main city monuments and points of visual interest.
